Five for Friday!

Linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching again this week for Five for Friday!

1.  I had some time to myself tonight so I decided to pamper myself with a new haircut.  This is pretty short for me as I have had long hair for quite some time.  I think I like it and will like it even more tomorrow after I actually style it.

{Not the best picture, but my bestie insisted I take one and send it to her right away.

2.  I finished my Read & Write the room pack.  It took WAY longer than I had anticipated, but I am so happy with the outcome.  My students are loving it too! {Click on the image to grab this for yourself.}

3.  During literacy centers this week, I caught one my friends just reading away.  I had to capture the moment.  He was so engrossed in the book that he didn't even know I took the picture.  I love seeing this!

4.  My daughter and I had a fun after-school coloring session.  It is so much fun to color and she was having a blast as well.  I love moments like these with my children.

5.  After fighting a migraine & headaches for a couple of days, I finally feel back to normal for the most part.  Any of you get migraines??  They are TERRIBLE!

  1. Cute hair cut!..I'm glad you feel better. I've only had a few migraines but those were enough! I think a medication I was taking was the culprit!

  3. I hear you on the after school coloring sessions. My son and I often have these, especially when I am trying to color something for the classroom. His latest obsession is my oversized chart paper. He loves scribbling away on there. Migraines are the worst. I get them when ever there is a change in the weather. They, unfortunately, run in my family. :(

  6. I just loooove the haircut. Super cute. I cut my hair short last summer and hated it. It didn't look nearly as good on me! Your daughter is adorable! So sweet :) and your little reader is the best, I love finding them doing something amazing. One of my littles was reading a dr. Seuss book at his desk last year in the morning and I tried so hard to record him but he caught me and got all embarrassed and stopped. Sigh. It made me so proud though! Glad your migraines have subsided, ugh those are the worst!

  7. Love the idea of daily math surveys. Your freebie is great. So good to include the tallies. I just started adding "tally a number" next to their names on their sign in sheet. This will be a wonderfully practical application.

    Thanks again.
