I am linking up with Kacey from Doodle Bugs Teaching again for Five for Friday.
1. I made it through the first week back in school! Not only did I survive, but we had a lot fun learning about snow and winter while we were at it! :)
2. It amazes me everyday that my kids are growing and learning the way they are. My son was reading me a chapter book the other night and it just made my heart melt!
3. In my classroom this week, we worked on one of our Kagan Cooperative Learning structures called "Rally Coach". Here is a picture of two of my little friends doing the structure. I will be posting more about some of these structures next week.
4. I have been so impressed with my students' writing lately. To make things even better, this week at the writing station my students have been ROCKING! They were just writing away and I loved it.
5. Tonight my daughter is spending the night at my in-laws so my son and I are getting to have some fun time together playing games and watching a movie. I love getting to spend some quality times with my kiddos one-on-one.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Amanda,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I found your blog from Doodle Bugs Teaching's Friday linky. I too love watching the growth of my students and my own kids as well. I have a kindergartener at home and every time we sit down to read, I am amazed by what he has learned. Enjoy your quality time with your son tonight. I am your newest follower.

DeleteHey girl! I loved hearing about your little ones at home :) how exciting that your son is reading chapter books! It's so awesome that you are able to have some special time with him, it means so much to kids to spend time with their mommy!
ReplyDeleteI know....I LOVE listening to him read. I can't wait until my daughter (who is in kindergarten) starts really reading. :)
DeleteSuper impressed with your blog! :) I love it! We love Kagan Structures in my room! But I find myself doing Inner/Outer Circle like everyday and forgetting the others hahah! :) Thanks for stopping by and following!
ReplyDeleteWhen I taught third grade, I did inside/outside circle ALL. THE. TIME. My students loved it and so did I. I find it harder to do with kindergarten students, but we do it sometimes.
DeleteI loved having date nights with my kids when they were growing up, enjoy. I am you newest follower.
