Tic Tac Toe

I am linking up with Latoya today from Flying into First Grade.  She has a fabulous linky to get acquainted with other bloggers.  LOVE!

This week's theme is Tic Tac Toe.  A game I play with my kids EVERY time we go to a restaurant while waiting for our food.  :)

I am choosing to go straight across in the middle.

First year of teaching - When I got hired at my school for my first year (six years ago teaching first grade), I was pregnant with my daughter.  I ended up having my daughter about a week and a half early which meant right before school started.  My first year of teaching, for the first six weeks of school, I was on maternity leave.  Can you imagine????  It all worked out though.  I really enjoyed the class I had and they will always hold a special place in my heart!

Favorite School Memory as a Kid - I have had so many wonderful teachers and experiences in school that it is hard to pick just one.  I had a junior high teacher who was a grammar fanatic.  She would take her red pen everywhere!  She would correct everything she saw that was not correct.  You could tell when she had been at the grocery store because you would see red marks on things....haha!  I remember her telling us that every time she read the paper and there was an ad for Toys R Us she would correct the R because it is backwards.....it drove her NUTS!  Now every time I see Toys R Us, I think of her.  :)  She is also the teacher who taught me one of my favorite things to do.....diagram sentences!  I know I am weird, but I always enjoyed diagraming sentences......don't judge.

Books I'm Reading - I am leaving for vacation tomorrow which means that I just stocked up on some books from the library.  I have Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke (I love Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series and I have heard this is another good one to try), Promises to Keep by Jane Green, and I think I am going to buy The Heist by Janet Evanovich on my kindle before we leave.

Before I leave for vacation, I wanted to finish up my classroom decor pack that I have been working on.  I just uploaded it to TpT.  You can get it by clicking on the images below.

Well I am off to finish packing and getting the last minute things together for our vacation.  We won't really have internet or cell service where we will be and I have to say that I am so excited about it!  It will be so nice to have a little break from it all.  Don't worry I will be back next week!  :)

I plan to have a giveaway soon, if you are interested in helping out, please contact me at mrspauleyskindergarten@gmail.com.
