I have been hard at work on my latest product......schedule cards. I was having a conversation with our school's counselor about a particular student in my class. She really thought that this particular student would benefit from a visual schedule. The more I thought about this, the more thought about how all students would benefit from this.
This conversation happened at the end of the school year so I didn't have time to create this before school was out for the summer. It was my goal to have schedule cards right from the start of the school year this year. Not only will it help the students, but now I hopefully won't hear "When is lunch?" or "When is recess?" 185 times a day. :)
Here is a preview of my schedule cards. I made three different sets. Click on the images to head on over to the products in my Teachers Pay Teachers Store.

I'm going to be a first year teacher this year, so most things will be new for me. But one thing that I've decided to use that none of my teammates are using (as far as I know) is Daily 5. This will definitely be a new experience for me, but I'm looking forward to it! :)

These are so stinking cute I can not stand it!!!!
ReplyDeleteHowever I do not need them. :( OH the perils of being an elementary school teacher in a middle school teachers body.
Honestly though, they look great! I wish I could make them work in my room some how!

This year I'm trying to do guided math and eliminate most whole group. Last year I taught math mostly whole group, and it's just not effective for the majority of students. Figuring out how to organize this is my summer project right now!
