Currently and Getting Acquainted

I am linking up with Farley for the April Currently this month.

Listening - My hubby is watching Renovation Realities on the TV behind me.  I keep stopping to watch too.  Funny that we are watching this since it has been our own reality for the past couple of weeks.

Loving - We had some home improvement projects that we wanted to complete while I was on Spring Break and we were able to finish them all.  We just need to put up the crown molding and we are set!!

Thinking - I have been a night owl while on break so I am pretty sure that alarm is going to go off way too early tomorrow.

Wanting - Spring Break was not exactly as I had planned.  Both my kids were sick for most of break....my son had pneumonia.  Not fun!!!!

Needing - I think I have mentioned that I have been on weight watchers and I have lost over 20 pounds.  The only bad thing is that most of my clothes are too big.  I need to get some new work clothes, but I am having a hard time finding things I like.  Anyone have any suggestions of places to shop??  I don't want to spend a lot either because I still have some weight to lose.

Advice - My grandma always says, "It's only temporary."  There have been times in my life when I have been upset, frustrated, etc. and that was always her advice.  I love it because it's so true!

While I'm linking up, I decided to also link up with the always fabulous Latoya from Flying into First Grade.

This week's linky theme is a favorites survey.  Here are some of my favorites:

Favorite Place to Shop

I mean really.....tell me one teacher who doesn't love Target.  :)

Favorite TV Show

I have watched this show since the first episode.  I love it and I am not ashamed to say it.  I do have a few other shows that I love that I have to mention as well:

Favorite Sweet Treat

I have previously mentioned that I keep this in a drawer in my classroom.  Certain co-workers know that it is there and will stop in to get a piece when needed.  Chocolate always makes your day better.

Favorite Food

mmmmmm.......strawberries.  When I was a little girl, my grandparents would take my cousins and I strawberry picking the first week is June.  I loved it.  I could seriously eat strawberries each and every day!!!

Favorite Restaurant

I love this little Thai restaurant by my house.  They have the most delicious lettuce cups/wraps.  SO.  GOOD.  I also love me some Panera.

Ok, ladies and gentlemen....now it's your turn to link up!  I would love hear all about your favorites and your currently!  :)

Just a reminder about some fabulous giveaways out there in blog land!!  :)

I'm back to school tomorrow....looking forward to seeing all my little kinder babies and hearing about their spring breaks.

    1. I didn't think of the LOFT. I will have to check out their clothes next time I visit my mom. I don't have one near me.

  3. I agree with the alarming going off too early tomorrow! We only had off Friday and today but I enjoyed it to the fullest extent! Target is also my favorite store! I am spoiled and can walk across the street to the Target in my town! It doesn't get much better than that!

  4. Bravo on the weight loss! That is awesome. I lost a lot a couple years ago. Then let most of it come back on. I'm the teacher librarian. I would have chocolate just to get teachers in to plan with me ... but then I eat it all :/
Have you ever looked at the online store Shade? They have some cute stuff and quite often have sales.

  6. Wow girl. Congrats on the weight loss. Do you guys have a Maurices near you? I always go there and buy off the clearance rack and can get stuff for 75% off the lowest price. I think I posted some about on my blog like at the end of December.

Hope you kiddos are feeling better. That's no fun!!

  7. Go, Amanda!! I am proud of you!! TJ Maxx and Marshall's are my two favorite places to shop (besides Target, of course!). Everything is marked way, way down and the clothes are really cute! Also, I love love love your piece of advice. I like to think that God created seasons so we would know that hard things are only temporary and change always comes! :)

Have a great week at school!!

    1. Haley,
I am doing it online. I don't go to meetings. I was very strict with myself for the first month. I didn't use any or very few of my extra points. The first month I wasn't really exercising but now I have started to exercise because I have plateaued big time. I am also very honest when putting Imin my points and I make sure to do it everyday. It helps me hold myself accountable for what I am eating. I hope that helps! Feel free to email me if you would like mrspauleyskindergarten@gmail.com. It is always easier to do it with support.

  11. Sorry to hear about your sick kiddos, but at least you were there to take good care of them. 20 lbs is awesome! Having to shop for new clothes due to others being too big sounds good to me. I love any excuse to shop. I love Target.
